The Care Cabin exists on the campus of Casselberry Elementary School to serve the children and families at Casselberry Elementary School and Maitland Middle School.
The Cabin is open 5 days a week, run by a team of community volunteers, providing food and clothing assistance to those who have need. Nearly 500 grocery bags of food are distributed through this cabin each month. Give your donations to a member of Change Through Giving by Saturday March 1st.

At the start of the recession in 2008, the City of Casselberry was featured on 60 Minutes to highlight the issue of young students battling homelessness and poverty in the area. The outpouring of community support was a testament to the generosity and resilience of its citizens. The Casselberry Task Force was formed to help organize volunteers and aid. Alice Gomes with Imagine Yoga teaches a Free Community All Levels Yoga class on the first Sunday of each month to benefit the Care Cabin. Students are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate. Class is held at 11:00am at the Casselberry Art House at Lake Concord Park.
