Join us Sunday, April 6th, for Walk MS Orlando, the annual walk to create a world free of MS.
We started participating in this walk three years ago, when CTG member, Tracy joined us. We walk for Team Ray Ray, for Tracy’s dad, Ray, who was diagnosed with MS less than four years ago. Unfortunately, in this short period of time, the disease has stolen his mobility and changed his life completely. He can no longer walk, which is the most destructive impact, but there are many other implications. He can’t use his right arm or right hand, there’s memory loss, extreme fatigue, stiffness, pain and impaired balance. We are joining forces for this walk for Ray, as well as the many people struggling with this disease. Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis and the available treatments aren’t enough! Medications are expensive, as are wheelchairs, walkers, in-home care and all the other tools and resources people with MS NEED to get through each day. So many people like Ray face a lifetime filled with unpredictability and struggle.
You can help in many ways – join our team, and walk with us! Start your own team, or you can simply donate – all by clicking the link below.
The local MS chapter provides lots of great resources for people living with MS – these funds help them do this, as well as funding critical research needed to cure the disease.
