The rain might have put a little damper on the night, but it certainly didn’t curb our fun! Our 6th-annual Shop-for-a-Cause event at Ten Thousand Villages on Friday, November 15,2013 was a huge success! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support us and our efforts to raise money for Rebuilding Together Orlando, and thanks to the gals at Ten Thousand Villages in Winter Park for all your support! Ten Thousand Villages is an exceptional source for unique handmade gifts, jewelry, home decor, art, textiles, serveware and personal accessories representing the diverse cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
For those of you not familiar with the event, Ten Thousand Villages keeps their store open after-hours to host us for this event. Not only will proceeds from the night’s sales benefit Change Through Giving and Rebuilding Together Orlando, but Ten Thousand Villages is one of the world’s largest fair trade organizations and a founding member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). The company strives to improve the livelihood of tens of thousands of disadvantaged artisans in 38 countries. Love it!
